Summer Offer

We know summer in the south can be quite warm.  But there’s a cool getaway awaiting you at The Eliza Thompson House. 

We’ve put together a special offer on a Trolley Tour with Oglethorpe Tours.  From the comfort of a trolley, you’ll be whisked around to all of the beautiful sites of Savannah – without the exhausting effort of walking through the mid-day heat.

After your tour, return to The Eliza Thompson House and enjoy a leisurely afternoon in our garden courtyard, always spectacular when in full summer-time bloom.  If you’re a garden lover, you’ll delight in our garden, with its flowing fountain and koi pond, all maintained in the tradition of Savannah’s great private walled gardens.  Relax here with us, and enjoy some cool lemonade, or enjoy a glass of wine and light hors d’oeuvres in the afternoon. 

When the day cools down, take a stroll down Jones Street and steal a peak into our neighbor’s gardens.  Forsyth Park is a short walk away, where you’ll often find summer-time festivals and always find an abundance of flowers beneath the canopy of oak trees and magnolias.

This tour of Savannah by Oglethorpe Tours gives you a glimpse of the style and grace for which Savannah is known. This narrated tour allows guests on and off access to fourteen stops through out downtown and also includes admission into one of Savannahs premier Historic Homes.
