Over the Top Nice
This was our first trip back to Savannah in 25 years and we wanted a nice place to stay within walking distance to the restaurants and historic district. From the moment we arrived and throughout our stay, everyone was terrific and the location was perfect.Reviewed by wells558, Mooresville, North Carolina on 6/6/22 via TripAdvisor
Can't Wait to Go Back
We booked at Eliza Thompson House because of the location, and found so much more once we arrived. Everyone we interacted with was super kind, helpful, and always smiling. We will be returning for sure. Its a perfect location on the most beautiful street in America.Reviewed by DaveAH2022, Syracuse, Utah on 6/6/22 via TripAdvisor
Enjoyable Stay!
We had a very pleasant stay at this historic inn. The staff was extra helpful when we arrived early, and helped us book a city tour. Breakfast in the courtyard was excellent, and the king room was comfortable and quiet.
Great location within walking distance of much of the city. Note that there is only street parking and City of Savannah levies a fee for that, but the front desk will assist you. We didn't have a problem finding a space close by. The Eliza Thompson would certainly be our first choice on our next visit to Savannah.Reviewed by WeatherWizard, Columbus, Georgia on 6/6/22 via TripAdvisor
Eliza Thompson House - a stay to remember
If your looking for a memorial place to stay, look no further. Eliza Thompson House is located in the heart of the historic district, close enough for us to walk to all the great Savannah attractions, just take Bull St through the squares and your where you need to be in no time. The breakfast was a perfect start to the day (great french toast) and your close to many great neighborhood restaurants (The Public, Mrs. Wilkes Dinning Room, Clary's Cafe - are just a few). We picked a perfect location for a visit. The staff made sure we felt welcomed and at home.

Gracious and Welcoming Staff
The entire team made our visit special. We arrived on a day with heavy rain, and we were made to feel welcome as waited out the storms before our room was ready. The team set the tone for the guests, and we met so many nice people. The parlor is a meeting area - whether hiding out from the rain, enjoying wine and bacon-wrapped Brussels sprouts (will have to try these at home!), or post-dinner dessert. The servers and the chef continued the warm feeling and the breakfast was generous.
The location was also great. The street is lovely and very close to everything.
We stayed in a beautiful mansion in Beaufort after our visit at Eliza Thompson, but the staff was cold. It was a culture shock!Reviewed by Karen-Elias, Oakland, California on 5/31/22 via TripAdvisor
